Christian Education

Seeds of faith can’t grow unless they are watered! God has called us to be Disciples of Christ and opportunities abound at Forest Hills Presbyterian to grow in faith in God and encourage us in our Christian walk. We offer a variety of Bible studies, Sunday school classes and seasonal studies.

ADULTS 2ND Sunday Book Study
Meets monthly in Larrick Hall. No advance preparation or homework required.

NURSERY
Betty Mullis, our nursery coordinator, teaches lessons using the Wee Children at Church curriculum during worship from 9:45 – 11:45 a.m. Sunday.

CHILDREN’S CHURCH
Children’s church is available for children kindergarten through 5th grade. Children are escorted from worship to Larrick Hall for age-appropriate Bible lessons, games and crafts. Fun, faith and friendship is nurtured here! Children’s church is coordinated by Barb Lien and a team of dedicated volunteers. All of our children’s teachers and volunteers have completed our Child Protection Policy training course and a background check. Our classes offer age-appropriate Bible lessons and are designed to help our children learn about God and how to put their faith into practice in daily life.

YOUTH GROUP
Youth group for kids in grades 6-12 is held Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in our youth room, located between our chapel and craft cottage. New Direction Youth Ministries exists to honor God by introducing students to Jesus Christ, connecting them with other Christians, and teaching them to love God and others, to grow in Christ and community, and to reach their neighbors and the nations. At youth group, teens worship, play games and learn about God using Bible-based lessons.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT DINNERS
Join us for family-friendly meals and special programs once a month on Wednesday beginning at 5:45 p.m. in Larrick Hall. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. Several times a year, Rev. Dr. Ron Watson leads the program with a Bible study series or book study.

SEASONAL STUDIES
We offer short-term classes and Bible studies at various times during the year, including Lent, Advent and summer time when our regular classes are on break.
